Temporary Partial Disability Benefits (TPD)

Temporary Partial Disability Benefits are a wage loss benefit for an injured employee who has gone back to work, but is earning less than his/her average weekly wage at the time of the injury. This can happen when you work fewer hours; when you are working at a lower paying job; or a combination of the two.

Temporary Partial Disability Benefits are paid at two-thirds (2/3) of the difference between the employee’s average weekly wage at the time of injury and the employee’s current earnings.

One can only receive Temporary Partial Disability Benefits if they are working.

Temporary Partial Disability Benefits under current law are limited to 275 weeks during the first 450 weeks after the injury.
