
Jacob originally comes from Andover, Minnesota. He went to college at the University of Minnesota where he studied History and Classical Civilizations. Jacob knew he wanted to become an attorney early on. During college he worked for numerous employers including a small law firm in Minneapolis and the Minneapolis office of a U.S. Senator. He graduated with distinction in 2017 after three years. Jacob accepted a position at the University of Minnesota Law School and continued on at the University of Minnesota after graduating with his undergraduate degree.
During Law School, Jacob focused on litigation and gaining practical experience. Jacob interned for a Hennepin County Judge his first summer during law school and served as a research assistant to one of his professors. During his second year, Jacob worked at the Student Legal Services and took classes tailored to litigation. Additionally, Jacob served as a Student Attorney in two of the University of Minnesota Law School's clinics where he assisted low income individuals with family law, unemployment, and tax issues. During his final year in Law School, Jacob served as the managing director for the Law School's Civil Rights/Civil Liberties Moot Court and worked at a small general practice firm and the Minneapolis City Attorney's Office.
Jacob lives in Northeast Minneapolis with his girlfriend and cat. In his free time, he enjoys reading, cooking, and working with his hands.
